A Titan's Prelude

Hi there, you might remember me as a character from such books and plays such as Hesoid's The Theogony and Aeschylus's Prometheus Trilogy. Now if you still are questioning who I am, I guess you have not read the about me section of this blog or you are not a student of Classics and Ancient history. And thus for your benefit, I shall introduce myself. I am Prometheus, the fire bearer, Saviour of mankind and the smartest of the Titans...I would like to think:p.
Anyway, for those of you who find my surname of Titan familiar, yes my ancestory is most godly. My dad is the Titan Iapetus and my mother Themis. Now dad lost the war with the Olympians because dad was on the losing side and had to move to Tatarus. So I dont get to see him much:(. I on the other hand decided to stick mine in with Zeus because I kind of know what is going to happen in the future most of the time. The oracle I secretly took from mom might have something to do with that, haha. My brothers include Atlas, Epimetheus and Menoetheius. Yes quite a lineage I have, just like the famous Baldwin actor family in the USA:p.
Now if you are wondering why my Blog is named Bounded for life, I think you need to seriously have a conscious check. Why? Let me tell you a story. When mankind (YOU!) were in a crsis of being killed off by Zeus slowly, it was I Promethues that gave you fire and the knowledge for all the technologies and advancements you have today. Yes even the internet and its porn should be accredited to me. Well anyway because of that, me and Zeus kind of had a falling out, and he decided to impale and bind me to a rock where a eagle would peck my regenerating liver for all time. I call that eagle Kisses, why? I dont know, it seems to piss it off as I call it that when it does it's 'job'. So after reading this, take some time and just look to your bank account and try to donate as much as you can to the "Free Prometheus Fund" ASAP. This is a poster from the "Free Prometheus Fund' by my potter friends in Kerameikos:) (Picture from a Laconian Black Figure 6th Century)
So that's it for now, about time for Kisses to come and last thing I want is to drop my palmtop and not be able to report to you my wonderful and hopefully soon to be loyal readers:p.
